Dale Franks is a decorated former career non-commissioned officer in the United States Air Force. He is a graduate of the US Air Force's Security Police Academy, Desert Survival School, Air Base Ground Defense (the USAF version of Advanced Infantry Training), Technical Training Instructor School, M60 Machinegunner Specialist School, and an Honor Graduate of the USAF Non-Commissioned Officer's Preparatory Course and Non-Commissioned Officer's Leadership School.

In addition to serving as a military police supervisor and an Air Base Ground Defense combat specialist, Dale also was a certified Technical Training Instructor for law enforcement and military weapons, tactics, and procedures. In that capacity, Dale has thousands of hours of experience in conducting both classroom and field instruction for active-duty military and police personnel. In addition, Dale served as a Range Official for combat arms training and maintenance, providing training to military personnel on a variety of weapons.

Dale's service included an assignment to Headquarters, Allied Forces Central Europe (AFCENT), where he worked closely with the Canadian, British, Dutch, German, and Belgian armed forces, as well as the Dutch national police force, the Koninklijke Marechaussee. He was also a competitive marksman in international competitions for the AFCENT pistol team.

Dale was a machine gun and grenade launcher specialist, as well as an expert marksman with the M16 Rifle, the M15 Pistol and the M9 Pistol.

Dale holds the following medals/decorations: Joint Service Commendation Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal (4 times). In addition, he was selected as Airman of the Month and Airman of the Quarter numerous times.

After leaving the Air Force, Dale worked in high-risk security/law enforcement in Southern California.
